Women's Fellowship Groups
The women's activities at Starkey Road Baptist Church are coordinated by our Women in Focus committee. The activities are designed to encourage fellowship and promote spiritual growth. We typically have a kick-off dinner where we encourage involvement in the secret sister program. The secret sister program is a one-on-one ministry of encouragement and prayer one for another. The season usually ends with our annual ladies' retreat. It is a weekend for the ladies to learn more about God and have plenty of free time for recreation and relaxation.
The Heart to Heart Mentoring Ministry
Women have needs that only other women can meet. This unique ministry seeks to meet needs by partnering women with women for prayer, accountability, and encouragement. Titus 2:3-5 gives us a definite command for the older women to be an example to younger women, especially in the area of personal character and family responsibilities. All women of any age are invited to be part of this ministry.
