MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS is a ministry of our church open to all mothers with children from birth through Kindergarten, including expectant moms. MOPS helps moms make a different in the lives of their families. The purpose of MOPS International is to nuture mothers of preschoolers by meeting their distinct needs. This purpose is carried out in a variety of ways by offering:
* An opportunity for friendship with other moms
* Encouragement and practical tips for surviving the preschool years.
* Meeting topics based on biblical values about mothering, womanhood, and relationships.
* Group discussions where moms can express their thoughts and feelings in an accepting environment.
* Time to express creativity in a variety of activities.
* A break away from your child for a couple hours.
* New life skills to take home with you.
SRBC MOPS meets on the second Friday of every month from September to May, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. (except for October)

MOPS is coordinated by 1) Mothers of preschoolers who know firsthand the joys and challenges of nurturing young children, and 2) MOPS mentors, who are past the preschool-parenting years and share their experience and encouragement with younger moms.
Our monthly meetings include:
Breakfast, coffee, juice
Door prizes
Informative speakers
Creative Activities and crafts
Small group discussions
Building relationships
Moms Night Out and Play Dates are also scheduled outside of MOPS meetings to have fun and build relationships.
The MOPS International membership fee is $23.95 for the year which entitles you to a one-year subscription of MomSense magazine, weekly MOM-E-Mail, and a MOPS International Calendar. SRBC MOPS group also has a fee of $5.00 per meeting to cover expenses. If this presents a financial hardship please contact us at the email address below. We don't want anyone left out!
While moms are enjoying a morning of rest and relaxation at the MOPS meeting, children are being cared for in a loving environment called MOPPETS. They are divided into age-appropriate groups and are involved in planned activities such as games, stories, crafts, music, and physical play.
Starkey Road Baptist Church is located at 8800 Starkey Road. We meet in the Fellowship Hall, MOPPETS meet in the Nursery Building.
